Crazy Part Time Jobs

I'm trying some short term part time jobs these weeks before chinese new year. So far have seldom good experience.

I saw a poster on the door of a bakery near my house, they said they need part time worker in a hurry. So I tried, they accepted me, and i went working from the next day. one week later, they said I was too slow for that work they don't want me anymore. ..................OK, no wonder that poster was on their door for such a long time, they don't really need someone in a hurry, they just want someone with experience in a hurry. Once I thought they might lower their standard for they need someone in a hurry, I was wrong. now that post in on their door again, I really don't think they would find an ideal staff soon, for so low they pay.

I found a product wrapping job on internet, the place is not far away from home, but this one is drying me crazy. everything they say is changing with time. shit. at first, on internet their place is in A road, but when I ask for detail, the actual place is at an old apartment in a alley of B street. Second, when I contacted them with email, the name on the internet is Mr. Huang, but the one on email is Cindy Lin, and replied at midnight of Monday. what's wrong with you sir? you don't have to work the next day? 12am and 4am? in the morning a man called me and told me the detail of that work. I had to help someone make chocolate, cleaning molds, wrapping products. When I arrived there's already a woman, Ms. Sun, making chocolate. She never introduces herself and forgot to ask my name. no table to fill for record. Everytime she mentioned the boss, the description is different, sometimes he's John Lin, sometimes he's John Lo, sometimes he's the man visited us, sometimes he's not. I expected to see a capable worker with profashional equipment, but what I saw is a middle age woman with less experience and not enough equipment. It seems that she seldom make chocolate, the procedure and the traffic flow is a mess. she put everything she need on every table without order, but forget to left one for my work. she's not familiar with chocolate making process, for example, when she teach me how to wrap chocolate in a room, she bring chocolate and foil, wrap the chocolate, get out of the room for wrapping papers, put them somewhere carelessly, wrap the chocolate with paper A, find paper C, take the chocolate, put it down, find paper B, wrap the chocolate, end. she keep self talking, nagging something like"oh no, fail again." she ask me to wash dozens of baking trays on the floor no sink, no stool. I had to squat the whole afternoon. I asked her if I have to wash things like that, she said no, but the next day, she ask me to wash her chocolate mold on the floor again. shit. she has to leave before 4 o'clock everyday, so she left me in there alone, waiting for someone from their office to close the door. I saw her melting chocolate bricks and mold them pattern, while some word like "Belgian chocolate" is on the wrapping papers in my hand. I saw a lot of company names there, different from they post on internet. Everything looks like a fraud when I work with her. the chocolate left on the baking tray I wash is moldy as if no one come clean it for a long time. things get better when a man from the company visit us, he's the reason why I work for them for so many day. He put everything back on track and make everything reasonable. He's the one who know how to make chocolate and what to do with me. I fill some table and record and go wrapping chocolate in a room. I felt really great when he blam her. Ms. Sun really don't know how to develope new chocolate procuct, never find the key point of why she fail. it seems that she never use her brain, still trying to do every detail perfect while they have to ship the good in the weekend and there's still 600 to go on Friday. the man find a girl from their office to support us. she told me that Ms. Sun is just a financial personnel, but interesting in investgating new product, so their company let her do so. they have a factory somewhere else, but can't stop to support this part. they also import chotolate. their boss is John Lin, that man is Mr. Lo, just a supervisor. everything seems reasonable now. I just hope I can get my salary in the time they promise.
